Haha. It's part of the act, right? Didn't realize it at first, but for the second part, he's way to careful when he falls through with both his legs..... I would be too, mind.
See... part of me really wants it to all be genuine, but part of me thinks that all but the world's bravest fool would go back to his seat in embarrassment after the second or third fail.
