Totally NOT fair to Shatner who has been, for years, aware of his own status on the comedy scale, and in fact premised his late career on that understanding.
As with many folks, your entry into the ivy halls (here, perhaps, mugungwha halls) has rendered you deaf to low culture, its icons, and their stances...

so maybe it wouldn't be the crowning jewel of unintentional comedy... maybe it would be the greatest self-parody captured on film since Eddie Murphy did "Nutty Professor 12: Fat Fatty Farty Fat Fats"... but still.
