Looking forward to it.

I really like the all white background you have now. Is there a way to make the left side a bit wider? You could probably make it 600px wide without causing too much trouble on smaller screens (mobile not included).

errr right side, sorry. Whichever side you decide to put your main content. As it is right now, it looks a bit like both sides are the same size and a new visitor may not feel comfortable.

I like it, but switch the left-hand menu to the right please. It's more natural!

It looks great Rob. Definitely a lovely improvement. :)

sorry to say this is only a temporary design until i have time to work on it. I've actually never liked bright white backgrounds: gives me eyestrain. Sorry, but expect more changes.

ooooo...sorry that means my blog strains your eyes :(

I'd change your commenting system also, if I were you. Go with Disqus or IntenseDebate. They offer a lot more options and are quite flexible.

Make sure you employ Blogspot/Blogger's option for viewing on mobile devices. It makes it so much easier for iPhone users to look at your blog. I've done it, The Marmot's doing it, so there's an argumentum ad populum for you.

Simon: does blogger allow one to install disqus?

Simon said...

@Roboseyo, yeah, it does allow it. Or...wait. I know IntenseDebate does. I did it a while ago when I used Blogger. I didn't try using Disqus for that.

I actually really like this "temporary" look - it's clean and crisp, and easy to read. Agree that having the sidebar to the left seems more natural, but I enjoy the visual aspects of this version far more than the last.

I like it! It feels much more streamlined and less fussy. Also it's easy on the eyes!
